

COMPOSER BIOGRAPHY
Noah Salem is a film and media composer whose work blends the beauty of orchestral writing with the endlessly engaging textures of electronic music. With his music, he aims to create unique sound worlds for each of his projects that guide the audience on a journey to enhance the stories he is a part of telling. Noah’s music draws on the emotions and the imagination of the audience to elevate their listening and viewing experience.
During his education, Noah collaborated with more than 20 filmmakers on over 30 projects ranging from short films to student television pilots. Several projects that he has been a part of have gone on to win awards at various film festivals including the Longhorn Film Festival, the Texas Short Film Festival, and the ATX Short Film Festival. For his score to Feeding Tube, Noah was named “Best Composer” at the Onyko Film Festival in 2023. Noah holds a Bachelor’s of Music in Composition and a Master's of Arts in Composition from the University of North Texas, where he studied with composers Bruce Broughton, Jeffrey Hepker, Kirsten Soriano, and Sungji Hong. He also holds a Master’s of Music in Film Scoring from the Berklee College of Music, where he studied with Andreas Bjørck, Tim Huling, John Whynot, Alison Plante, Ben Newhouse, Sean McMahon, George Oldziey, Vinicius Barbosa, Collin Russell, and privately with Jessica Rae Huber.
Noah also enjoys writing music for the concert setting, ranging from large orchestral spectacles to choral and chamber works. Noah has collaborated with ensembles such as the Budapest Scoring Orchestra, Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra, Verdigris Ensemble, Texas Boys Choir, and University of North Texas Concert and Symphony Orchestras to bring his music to life.
